SCDCPN Dabuleni operates under the “Gheorghe Ionescu-Sisesti” Academy of Agricultural and Forestry Sciences – Bucharest.

The activity of the Dabuleni Resort carries out the following scientific research activities with the most important directives:

  • permanent improvement of sandy soils;
  • development of agricultural systems specific to sandy soils;
  • the study of the behavior of some species, varieties and hybrids of plants resistant to drought and less demanding on soil fertility;
  • creating varieties for plants specific to sandy soils (watermelons, peanuts, beans, etc.);
  • development and improvement of cultivation technologies for cereals, technical plants, fodder plants, medicinal plants, vegetables, fruit trees and beef, in the concept of sustainable agriculture;
  • the study of the biology and integrated control of pests, pathogens and economically important weeds in plants grown on sandy soils;
  • technological transfer of research results to users.

The research strategy of the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine in Cluj-Napoca is elaborated on the basis of the Rector’s management plan for the period 2020-2024 and closely follows the wishes of the national strategy for research, development and innovation considering the provisions of the European Research Strategy.
The scientific research activity of USAMV Cluj-Napoca covers the three components of the research-development-innovation activity:
(1) fundamental and applied research,
(2) experimental development (products, services, innovative technologies) and
(3) innovation (transfer to the socio-economic environment of services, products, innovative technologies).

Creative Space is an innovative information technology startup specializing in software solutions for GIS, satellite data processing and smart cities. Born as a spin-off of the EOClimLab (ESA-funded) and GREENTOP (Horizon 2020) projects, the company initially benefited from the support of the Startup Nation 2017 program. It offers customized digital solutions, such as project management platforms and web or mobile applications for institutions and organizations (Baia Mare Nord University, Vis Juventum Association, ARIES – Transilvania Branch, READ Foundation). His expertise includes the development of strategies for smart cities (Constanța, Mediaș, Sibiu, Baia Mare) and consultancy in strategic planning and urban planning for local authorities (Bistrița, Baia Mare), including the development of urban planning procedures in projects such as SIPOCA 50. The research activity focuses on adaptation to climate change and the use of satellite data, through initiatives such as INTEGRATE (evaluation of urban heat islands).
