Opening workshop of the project
Indeco Soft SRL, together with the partners Babeş-Bolyai University from Cluj-Napoca, the Research and Development Station for Plant Culture on Dăbuleni Sands, the University of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine Cluj-Napoca and Creative Space SRL,
We are pleased to invite you to the opening workshop of the ExoCrop project – EXploration Of Climate opportunities and evaluation of the favoRability of the territoRy of Romania for Optimized and Performing agricultuRe.
The project aims to develop an integrated agroclimatic service (ExoCrop) for farmers in order to increase the competitiveness and resilience/adaptation of the agricultural sector in Romania in the context of current climate changes.
The newly created service will integrate 3 key elements:
- Information on the degree of agroclimatic and pedological favorability for the whole territory of Romania for three niche crops: sweet potato, peanuts and beans;
- Integration of the weather forecast for the next 7 months;
- Rotation schemes for each agro-climatic macro-region in Romania, with the integration of the 3 crops and depending on the seasonal forecast.
ExoCrop will offer farmers and stakeholders the opportunity to make informed, scientifically based decisions in order to optimize productivity/yield for a certain growing season.
The event will take place in Cluj-Napoca, on February 18, 2025, between 1:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m., at the Faculty of Geography of Babeş-Bolyai University, Str. Clinics, no. 5-7.
